The first annual AYC / WYC / UK Halsey PHRF and One-Design Regatta August 23rd and 24th was a blast!!  Both days had great wind ... SW Saturday, and NE Sunday.  Many thanks to Carl and John driving committee boats, Kevin Novak for organizing and committee boat duty,  Todd Scott on Committee boat, and John Simons organizing.  Sunday, with 20 knots out of the NE and building waves, must have been loads of fun on the committee boats!

Thanks WYC for the hospitality, and the Anchorage and WYC boats for racing.  More boats would have made it even more of a blast, so let's talk it up with our crews for next year!!

Newport to Bermuda

Bodacious II, with Anchorage Vice Commodore John Hoskins aboard took line honors for Cruising Division 13 in the 2008 Newport Bermuda Race.

WOW!

After 630NM, Bodacious II finished just 20 minutes ahead of Freedom, a substantially bigger boat. Provisional results below for the four boats in CD13 that have finished show Bodacious II first in class. None of the boats still on the water appear to be able to correct over them.

Congratulations JOHN.

The 2008 Doublehanded results are in, and Anchorage did well!
