A real fish story

January 21, 2003

We knew that you guys would enjoy this story. Jane had noticed through the porthole that the high tide and swift current were beating the dinghy against the side of the boat and decided to move it aft. Just after securing the dinghy, we were into a discussion about the current state of affairs in certain parts of our deck and were trying to make some decisions about how to proceed. There was a terrible racket coming from the dinghy which we at first assumed to be from some birds that had landed there. Instead we found a big fish flopping around. We were able to just let the thing die and got two big meals from it. Now that is the type of fishing that we both like very much. Didn’t even take any chicken, Russ!
