Those of you who were at the Anchorage Awards Banquet were the first to hear about our plans to start a Wednesday afternoon casual race program next year.

What we have in mind is:
* Jib and Main Only
* One Section Only
* Rabbit Start (no committee boat, no committee boat duty - see http://www.centerboardyachtclub.com/race/RabbitStart.htm
* Take your own finish times
* Start time - early afternoon
* End early enough so those racing Wednesday evening can have dinner - maybe a potluck on the patio - and still make the race
* Anyone losing a protest buys drinks for the fleet

If you are:
*       Retired
*       Self employed or otherwise able to make your own work schedule
*       A doctor or dentist that doesn't work on Wednesday
*       Able to play hooky

Then this is for you!

American Dream / Intuition

A few weeks ago the server crashed hard, taking all the websites on that server down with it.  So, the good news is that we now have a new server.  And, all of the server software is newer versions.  For the geeks, that means the operating system, database server, programming languages, the "content management system", etc., etc., is all newer, and actually better.  But, the bad news is that a lot of our website quit working, and the "Web development team" is getting it going again piece by piece by bringing it up to date.  

There is still work to be done, but a lot of it is going, so we've now switched over to all of the new software. 
As you're using the site, you'll probably find a few things that are working strange.  When you do, we'd appreciate letting us know, using the contact us page, and clicking on webmaster.

This year's Race for Fun Awards Banquet at the Port O Call, GLNTC, was a great success, with record attendance!!

We're all looking forward to the 2013 season, and plan to continue improvements to the race program, for example see the article below about the possibility of a new weekly Wednesday afternoon program.
