This Spring Racing Seminar will focus on how to make Race Committee a smooth and organized activity. Because all of our teams must take on the Race Committee duties during the season, we will highlight how to make this a simple and fun activity.
- How to prepare your boat and crew for Race Committee before you leave the dock. Three simple steps.
- Tips for setting a square line.
- Flag signals, halyards and horns.
- Advice on courtesy broadcasts over the VHF radio.
- Crew assignments.
- Recording finish times.
- When to postpone and when to abandon.
This will be a facilitated discussion and we will be asking some of our more experienced skippers and crew to provide their insights.
