Spring Racing Seminar

Anchorage Yacht Club skippers and crew:

Race Committee Made Simple!  How to Run a Smooth Starting Sequence and Finish!

Free Seminar March 14th 3pm - 4pm, in the Larsen Marine Showroom.

This Spring Racing Seminar will focus on how to make Race Committee a smooth and organized activity.  Because all of our teams must take on the Race Committee duties during the season, we will highlight how to make this a simple and fun activity.
  • How to prepare your boat and crew for Race Committee before you leave the dock.  Three simple steps.
  • Tips for setting a square line.
  • Flag signals, halyards and horns.
  • Advice on courtesy broadcasts over the VHF radio.
  • Crew assignments.
  • Recording finish times.
  • When to postpone and when to abandon.
This will be a facilitated discussion and we will be asking some of our more experienced skippers and crew to provide their insights.

Please RSVP to Jack Amedio at jack.amedio@graphicpartners.com so we can get a good headcount prior to the event.
